This is your chance to learn from the best! Murat is coming back for a visit and offering us a 2-day weekend seminar on January 4 & 5, 2025. This visit will mark 20 years since his first visit to Hawaii in 2005 and he's excited to be back with his family! This seminar is for experienced dancers who wish to increase the maturity of their dance and explore its mischievous side.

Finding the maturity of dancing in the music. We will master the basics but also move towards an understanding of space and silence while keeping the holistic approach of dancing in the close embrace.

We will explore the mischievous side of the spectrum. From dancing waltz and the very specific ideas of instrumentation to Biagi’s challenging music. Bring all your curiosity.

About Murat Erdemsel
Murat Erdemsel--Murat's Tango journey started in Istanbul in 1998. He is known for his insightful, thorough and analytical understanding of dance. Murat's background in visual arts and music sharpened his senses enormously and today they form a perfect blend for musicality in dance and the movement of bodies through time and space.
Murat's teaching philosophy aims to provide students with valuable tools to take control of their own personal development. He is warm, thoughtful, entertaining and approachable to students. The style of his teaching is holistic in approach and clear in method. He successfully combines technical and sensory exercises with fundamental concepts that lead to all challenging possibilities of improvisation and expression. As can be seen in his own dance, he focuses on the origin of the movement that emerges from the connection of the embrace.
